PICIGIN is an amateur sport game with a small ball played on beaches.

It is very popular in Croatia, where its origin is.It was evolved in Split,a town in Dalmatia, from a game of water polo.

It was played for the first time in 1908.

The rules are very simple because :There are NO rules.

What do you need? Five players, a small ball(even smaller than a tennis-ball) a nice, sandy beach and shallow water.

Description:The players are standing in a circle(two are standing the whole time on the same place and three are running) and passing around the small ball trying to keep it in the air and out of the water for as long as possible.

The two people who are standing and not moving away are called sidruni (sidro = anchor) and the other tree who are running are called trkaći= runners.

It is an absolutly relaxing game with no opposing sides, no points neither winners nor losers.

It`s just about fun.
